Winn, Roger & James’s “The Wattle Lodge” Est. 2013, is located on their picturesque 100 acre cattle grazing property in Glendon Brook within the Singleton District, Hunter Valley, NSW.
The property has been owned by the family for 4 generations, since leaving Ireland in the 1850’s.
Located in the heart of the Hunter Valley between the Pokolbin vineyards and Upper Allyn State Forest part of Barrington Tops National Park.
Each park offers unique landscapes, wildlife and out door activities something for every nature lover.
Take a picnic and visit the Barrington Tops National Park – for swimming, hiking or walks or visit the Allyn River State Forest- Dogs allowed in state forest alternatively visit historic Morpeth , Paterson and Dungog for cafes and stroll the streets for interesting shops.
Private Winery / Cheese / Chocolate Tasting Tours with Local operators are available to the Pokolbin Vineyards.

A front deck to relax on and take in the breathtaking views of the rolling hills and countryside and incredible starry skies at night!
The spacious Eco – friendly Lodge provides all the comforts with 2 bedrooms with en-suites for up to 4 guests, kitchenette, spacious dining and lounge area. Reverse cycle air-conditioning and ceiling fans.
All freshly sun-dried bed linen and towels supplied.
The front deck has views to the hills, and outdoor furniture and Webber BBQ.
Good parking next to the Lodge.
STRICTLY NON-SMOKING in the Lodge or anywhere on the property! Total fire ban on property.
Please ask us for recommendations for local shops, swimming spots, kayaking, cycling, walks & local points of interest, wineries and cafes/restaurants.
We have good local knowledge to share with you!!
Dog Friendly
DOG STAYS are available by request for well behaved, immunised dogs and all care and responsibility must be taken by the dog owners at all times.
Dogs are not allowed to stay in Lodge unattended!!
There is a secure fully enclosed fenced dog playground – 250 sq m2 in size , with a large wooden dog kennel plus outdoor hose.
Just bring your dog’s lead, crate/bed, toys, towels and food!
We can recommend Dog friendly cellar doors, restaurants, swimming spots for the dogs & parks in different locations.
Dog Friendly wine tour is available with local tour operator.
Local pick up Doggy Day care is available.
